OVEN-BAKED POTATO PIE

INTRODUCTION

Homely potato pie baked with béchamel sauce and cheese.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 kg of potatoes
  • 1 kg of grated cheese
  • 500 ml of béchamel sauce
  • salt, pepper, 4 drops truffle oil

STEPS

  • Cook the potatoes with skin in boiling water until soft;
  • Grate whatever hard paste cheese you prefer and put aside;
  • In an oven scale, start with making the first layer of potatoes;
  • Add salt, about half of the béchamel sauce and of the grated cheese;
  • Make a second layer, put salt again and add the rest of the sauce and cheese;
  • Put some nutmeg and 4 drops truffle oil if you want to give it some extra taste;
  • Put in the oven and cook for about 20-25 min (remember to put on grilling setting for the last 5 min).
