CHICKEN PAPRIKAS

INTRODUCTION

Popular Hungarian food. usually eaten with normal pasta or Hungarian/German nokedli/spetzle (still pasta).

INGREDIENTS

  • 9 pieces of onion
  • 5 pieces of tomatoes
  • 2 pieces of green pepper
  • 2kg of chicken
  • 10 pieces of garlic
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 TBSP of cumin
  • 4 TBSP of paprika powder
  • 400g of sour cream
  • 2 TBSP of flour

STEPS

  • Cook onion in the oil.
  • Add the green pepper and tomato.
  • Keep cooking until water evaporates.
  • Add a bit of water when it’s gone, and keep cooking until it evaporates again.
  • Then add spices with the chicken.
  • Cook until chicken becomes white.
  • Fill the pot to the top level of the ”thick” part of the stew.
  • Add salt and black pepper to your likeness.
  • Cook it on small fire for 1 hour.
  • Mix sour cream with the flour until smooth, then add some liquid from the soup to the mix.
  • If the mixture is warm and even, you then add it to the stew and mix evenly.
  • Cook 10 minutes, until it gets thicker.
