TO May 2027
STATUS: Ongoing

ABOUT THE PROJECT

From June 2025 to May 2027, Associazione Kora is running its Erasmus+ accredited youth mobility project 2025–2027. All activities take place at La Buona Terra, the educational farm in Passignano sul Trasimeno (Umbria) where Kora is based. The project brings together youth workers and young people from across Europe and beyond, including Armenia, Georgia, Montenegro and Morocco, around green living, rural life, participation and communication.

This project is still running. This page is updated after each activity.

What we want to achieve

  • Green and rural: showing young people and youth workers how green projects can bring new life to rural areas, and how to live with a lower impact on the planet.
  • Participation: helping young people experience democracy in daily life and make their voices heard.
  • Inclusion: opening international learning to young people who have fewer opportunities.
  • Quality youth work: giving youth workers practical skills, from natural building to communication, that they can take back to their communities.

Coming up

  • 13–23 November 2026: Fermentation to Winter, a youth exchange on the olive harvest and food-preserving traditions.
  • December 2026: a training course for accredited organisations on sharing experiences and best practices in Erasmus accreditation. Details to follow.

OBJECTIVES

The project so far

  • 155 people have taken part: 132 participants, 13 group leaders and 10 trainers
  • 5 international activities: 2 youth exchanges, 2 training courses and 1 partnership-building activity, plus a planning visit
  • 33 organisations: Kora and 32 partners from 18 countries so far
  • 84 participants with fewer opportunities, 54% of everyone involved
  • 42 people travelled green, 27% of everyone involved

Figures up to October 2026.

What has come out of it so far

  • Learning by doing, on the farm. All activities so far took place at La Buona Terra, where sustainability is part of everyday life, not only a topic for discussion.
  • Three new buildings. In Sustainable Design in Practice, the group built three natural buildings on the farm, which serve as dry toilets in summer and as storage in winter.
  • Positive feedback. Participants rated every activity positively: from 8.4 to 9.1 out of 10 in the activities scored out of 10, and 4.7 and 4.85 out of 5 in the two training courses.
  • New partnerships and ideas. The partnership-building activity ended with new project ideas for future Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps calls.
