YOUTH EXCHANGE “BACK AND FORTH!” IN ITALY

Apply to join the group of young people from Italy, Romania, Germany, Greece and Croatia who will meet in Passignano sul Trasimeno (Italy) to do activities related with culinary traditions and sustainability.

• Who: 6 participants (18-30) + 1 group leader (18+) from Italy, Croatia, Greece, Romania, Germany

Objectives of the project:

• Provide participants with knowledge about food choices and their impact on environment
• Share and increase awareness about national/regional traditions of participating countries
• Investigate the concept of cultural identity and its connection to food traditions
• Promote the introduction of environmental sustainability in traditional recipes and meals
• Provide practical cooking skills to participants
• Raise awareness on differences and similarities of participating countries’ cultures and traditions
• Provide young Europeans tools to reduce their impact on the environment through food choices

Selection criteria:

• Age 18+ for leaders, 18-30 for participants
• Motivation regarding the topic of the youth exchange;
• Good level of English, at least to understand everything and be able to express oneself on any topic
• Commitment to organise a small dissemination event after the youth exchange.
• Be resident in one of the partner countries: Italy, Greece, Croatia, Germany, Romania
• Groups’ leaders should have taken part in the Taking the Lead Training Course organized by Kora in February 2024.

Costs:

Food and accommodation are covered by the Erasmus+ programme. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a fixed amount (detailed info can be found in the infopack). Partner organisations may ask for a small participation fee, please refer to them for further information.
