Associazione Kora holds a multi-year European Solidarity Corps Quality Label as lead organisation for volunteering projects. Within this framework, project 2026-1 brings 18 young people from across Europe to volunteer in four organisations in central Italy: Kora itself and three local hosting partners working on the environment, animal care and disability.
Through their daily work and the activities they run with local youth, the volunteers help to promote environmental sustainability, social inclusion and intercultural diversity, and to involve young people from the area in active citizenship.
The work is organised in four work packages: project management and coordination; hosting and support of volunteers; capacity building of local hosting organisations; dissemination and visibility.
Where volunteers are hosted
Volunteers are hosted in four organisations in central Italy: Associazione Kora on the educational farm La Buona Terra near Lake Trasimeno; Società Agricola Biologica Microcosmo, an organic farm in Magione; the Giardino Faunistico di Piano dell’Abatino wildlife rescue centre in Lazio; and Arca Comunità Il Chicco, a L’Arche community near Rome. Each hosting organisation is described in its own activity below.
