Who can participate? Youth workers, educators, facilitators, and active volunteers aged 18+, involved in non-formal education and youth work, from Erasmus+ programme countries

Activities
During the training, participants will engage in a variety of hands-on, educational and reflective sessions, including:

Learning sustainability practices such as composting, soil observation, water and energy flow management, and rocket stove cooking

Exploring systems thinking and ecological design through mapping, observation, and real-life applications
-
Creating and testing non-formal educational activities on environmental topics
-
Using the EU Green Competence Framework (GreenComp) in youth work
-
Storytelling techniques for environmental awareness
-
Peer learning, collaboration and group facilitation in a nature-connected environment
Participants are expected to fully engage in both indoor and outdoor sessions and contribute to the group’s shared life on the farm (e.g. cooking, cleaning, maintaining common spaces).
Preparation required
Before arrival, participants will be asked to prepare:

A 5-minute presentation on a good practice related to sustainability in youth work

A short overview of youth and environmental challenges in their local or national context

One tool or resource they have used or found inspiring
-
A small cultural contribution for the intercultural evening (e.g. food, song, story)
Criteria
Participants must be:

Over 18 years old
-
Actively involved in youth work or non-formal education
-
Motivated to explore sustainability and educational design
-
Comfortable working in English (conversational level)
-
Ready to apply what they learn in their local contexts

Committed to participate fully in the course, including practical and outdoor activities
Logistics and support
Accommodation will be provided on the farm premises at La Buona Terra, surrounded by olive groves and forests. Participants will stay in shared rooms with people from different countries. The venue encourages a simple, community-based lifestyle with compost toilets, shared meals, and scenic views.
Food is included, mostly vegetarian or vegan, with shared cooking responsibilities.
Travel should be arranged in consultation with Kora and will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance band rules. Green travel (train, bus, carpooling) is encouraged and supported with additional travel days and higher reimbursement limits.

Participation costs: Fully covered by Erasmus+ (including travel, accommodation, meals, and training materials)
Recognition: All participants will receive a Youthpass certificate, certifying the competences acquired during the course (e.g. sustainability, digital creativity, teamwork, facilitation)
Hosting organisation
This training course is organised by Associazione Kora, as part of its Erasmus+ KA1 Youth accreditation, with the aim of promoting high-quality educational practices for the green transition.
