Tallinn Hosts Final Evaluation of NGO 2.0 Project: A Milestone in Digital Youth Development

In June 2024, the city of Tallinn, Estonia, served as the venue for the concluding evaluation of the NGO 2.0 project. Organized by Dynamic Learning, this pivotal meeting marked the end of a collaborative journey spanning more than 30 months. The NGO 2.0 initiative, supported by the Erasmus Plus programme, brought together key partners including Asociación Brújula Intercultural (Spain), Associazione Kora (Italy), Dynamic Learning (Estonia), and Regionalne Centrum Wolontariatu (Poland). The project focused on addressing the digital development needs of youth associations and revolutionizing non-formal education through digital tools.

Key Discussions: Evaluating Success and Charting the Path Forward

The final evaluation meeting centered on the project’s achievements and its potential long-term impact. The agenda covered several critical areas:

  • Final Review: A thorough assessment of the project’s outcomes, including cross-tests and evaluations designed to ensure the project’s sustainability and effectiveness.
  • Public Release Strategy: Planning the public launch of four virtual courses developed during the project, focusing on youth leadership, volunteer mentoring, project writing, and intercultural learning.
  • Administrative Compliance: A detailed check of all necessary paperwork to ensure that all formal requirements were met as the project nears its conclusion.
  • Dissemination Events: Organizing the final dissemination events in countries that have yet to host them and reviewing documentation from past events.
  • Future Trainings: Strategic discussions on two upcoming virtual training sessions for digital youth workers, scheduled for the following year.
  • General Evaluation: A comprehensive review of the project’s overall progress, future tasks, and the involvement of partner organizations.

Celebrating Achievements and Digital Innovation

The meeting in Tallinn was not only about planning and evaluation but also a celebration of the remarkable progress made through the NGO 2.0 project. Over the course of 30 months, the project introduced a range of innovative digital tools and established a strong foundation for online learning courses. It also enhanced communication and collaboration among European youth organizations.

The project has notably advanced the digital skills of all participants, underscoring the transformative power of digital platforms in non-formal education. The flexibility and innovation demonstrated throughout the project have set a new benchmark for digital collaboration within the youth sector.

Looking Ahead: Introducing the MYNGO Platform

As the project enters its final phase, the focus shifts to the upcoming multiplier events in each participating country. These events will showcase the MYNGO platform—the project’s flagship outcome—to a wider audience. More than just a digital platform, MYNGO represents a significant achievement in international cooperation and digital innovation within the non-profit sector.

The NGO 2.0 project has been a transformative journey, expanding horizons and enhancing digital capabilities across Europe. It has strengthened the connections between organizations and provided essential tools for navigating the digital landscape. As the final results are disseminated and future training efforts continue, the lessons learned and partnerships formed during this project will continue to inspire and guide future initiatives.
