RED BEAN BROWNIE

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gr cooked red beans (kidney beans), drained
  • 200 ml plant-based milk
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut, almond, or peanut butter
  • 200 gr dark chocolate
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 150 gr flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 100 gr applesauce
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 70 gr crushed nuts (almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts)

STEPS

  • Add the kidney beans in a blender with some of the milk and mix them into a paste
  • Melt the chocolate with the rest of the milk and the nut butter
  • Mix the two bowls, and add the sugar, the applesauce, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Once the mixture is homogeneous, add the crushed almonds, mix, and pour into a large baking dish for 20 minutes at medium heat.
  • Serve and enjoy 🙂

Extras:

*If you want your cake to have a lighter texture you can replace 50g of the flour with cornflour.
*Don’t forget to put some toppings of crushed almonds and/or peanut butter on top!
